Today's lunch: ham, hard-boiled egg, spinach, and pimento cheese wrap, Ritz cheese crackers, Annie's fruit snacks, Kashi bar; chia yogurt with strawberry swirl; carrots, celery, and grape tomatoes; plout; JUst Fruit Munchies; water.

Today's lunch: hamburger gravy over peas&carrots mashed potatoes (just instant potatoes with some frozen veg thrown in while water is boiling); frozen organic yogurt tube; cubes of sharp cheddar, peanuts (in the little green container), birthday cake rice krispy treat, golden kiwi and red raspberries; AdvoCare bar; water.

Today's lunch: chicken noodle soup, waffle-iron grilled cheese & spinach dunkers, mini apple pie, raspberries, water.  I know it's not the healthiest I've packed, but he needs some love in his lunch today.  Being 11 isn't easy.  :(

August 20th

Today's lunch: carrots and celery with pimento cheese for dipping, golden kiwi and cherries; curried chicken salad; more vanilla pudding; Cheez-its, kashi bar, frozen organic yogurt, water.  I don't mind saying this was a very rough morning.  We had a late soccer game in Columbus and none of us saw our beds before 11pm.  And now that Karate Kid's bus shows up at 7am, well, it's a good thing that half of his lunch was already packed and in the fridge.  Whew!

August 19th, First Day of School

Today's menu: ham, pimento cheese, and romaine in a tortilla, sharp cheddar wedges, olives, wheat thins, carrots and grape tomatoes.  Black grapes and graham cracker pretzels.  Homemade vanilla pudding (from milk he *insisted* tasted "off" despite being well within expiration date).  Organic yogurt tube that had been frozen, mini blueberry muffins, water.  

It's a whole new world of packing lunches, putting together a meal for a growing man.
